ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Triều Đặng, I'd love to be called Tron, a mechanical engineering student at Purdue University, originally from Hanoi, Vietnam. My interests center on robotics, thermal systems, and manufacturing and test engineering.

I enjoy taking a design through the full process: calculating loads, building the CAD model, manufacturing parts, and testing the assembled hardware. At Purdue, I design robotic mechanisms with RoboMaster, fabricate and test microscale heat pipes in PANLAB, and help students learn CNC machining as a workshop teaching assistant.

I’m especially interested in the decisions that make hardware work better—simplifying a mechanism, reducing unnecessary cost, or designing a test that reveals why something fails. This portfolio shares those decisions, along with the prototypes, results, and lessons behind them.

Before Purdue, I represented Team Vietnam at the 2023 FIRST Global Challenge, where our alliance earned a gold medal. Outside engineering, I hold a black belt in Taekwondo.
