What? Manufactured carbon fiber monocoque for FSAE competition to reduce mass and increase competition points scored. Developed test fixtures for small and large-scale testing for a variety of parts. How? Used complex layup techniques to achieve a structurally sound part that fit complex geometry. Followed meticulous manufacturing procedures to ensure no mishaps in the layup process. Results? Created a carbon fiber chassis for the FSAE car that reduced mass and increased serviceability compared to a tube frame chassis. Achieved 4% weight drop for the overall car by implementing carbon fiber and testing across the car.
