Thanks for stopping by my page!
My name is Kim, and I specialize in the design of robotic systems, optomechanical engineering, and complex electromechanical solutions, with extensive experience supporting manufacturing operations.
Currently a full time engineer working on developing entertainment lighting systems. I wanted to become an engineer because I have a natural passion for discovering how things worked.
I graduated with honors from The University of North Texas with a Mechanical & Energy Engineering degree and am planning to start on my masters degree in optical science by the end 2026.
Feel free to explore my portfolio, view my resume, and learn more about my work and interests. If you wish to contact me you can reach me through the contact tab, or find my email in my resume.
Industrial moving head light that utilizes pan & tilt motors, an LED source, and optical zoom/edge equipment. A highly technical mechatronic system that requires thermal cooling systems, power management, optical alignment, and robotic control (DMX)...
First place for most innovative design and second place for the faculty choice award, my capstone design team created an efficient cooling system for Signify's entertainment division, Vari-Lite.
I created a comprehensive analysis of performance for metrics including power, pitch attitude, L/D, thrust, payload and more. I presented my research with this lego figurine for my final report.
Analyzed the system and design of an actuator controlled prosthetic hand, focusing on PID control.
New projects being released to market soon, will upload details on my contribution to the project once out.
