OVERVIEW

Designed and prototyped a disposable, modular cartridge for automated white blood cell processing. The cartridge was developed for use in conjunction with CytoCT’s cellular imaging unit, which integrates light microscopy, fluorescence cytometry, and machine learning for disease diagnosis in resource-limited settings. The design focused on modularity, low-cost manufacturing, and reliable fluid handling, with multiple design iterations used to improve cartridge layout, fluid paths, and ease of assembly through prototyping and basic bench testing.

Aspiring Design Engineer

I recently graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a focus on mechanical design. Through academic and industry projects, I’ve gained hands-on experience in CAD modeling, prototyping, and design iteration. I’m seeking an entry-level design or product development engineering role in the medical device or biotechnology space.
