ABOUT ME

Throughout my time at Cal Poly, I have interacted with many engineers. One thing I often notice among them is a "results" based mindset. The focus on the final design, the features and the performance. Although that usually works, I like to take a more curious approach.

I believe there are people out there smarter and more achieved than I am, but what makes me unique is my curiosity. When I was little, I always took my toys apart, pushed designs to their limits, and asked many questions. Since I have grown up, little has changed. I always look first to understand problems before I solve them. Usually, things initially take longer than the "results" approach, but designs come out better; plenty of ideation leads to more thought out designs that function better.

Although it is not as flashy as curiosity, learning and design, I specialize in manufacturing. I have fabricated countless designs using lathes, manual and CNC mills, welding torches, bandsaws, and table saws and many others. Curiosity lends itself wonderfully to imagine creative ways to manufacture, and come up with successful manufacturing design.
