OVERVIEW

First-place winning hackathon project (Awarded ₹1,00,000 / ~$1,100). Developed a high-precision, 6-degree-of-freedom flight dynamics simulator in Python designed to accurately predict sounding rocket trajectories, apogees, and performance under variable atmospheric conditions.

HighlightS

Secured First Place out of [insert number if known] teams, winning ₹1,00,000 for developing a highly accurate, deployable flight simulation tool.

Achieved high-fidelity trajectory prediction, validating the model against a physical sounding rocket launch at Spaceport America with an apogee accuracy of within 34 feet.

Modeled complex flight dynamics, processing over 30 distinct inputs including dynamic mass properties, time-varying motor thrust, changing aerodynamic coefficients, wind velocities, and turbulence.

Hi, I'm Ashwinraj. I'm an Aeronautical Engineering Master's student at Politecnico di Milano. I specialize in high-speed aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

Previously, I served as the Team Leader and Head of Aerodynamics for the thrustMIT rocketry team, managing 40 members to achieve a successful 10,331-foot launch at the Spaceport America Cup. I also love the intersection of aerospace and code.

I won the FOSSHACK 3.0 hackathon by building a 6-DOF trajectory simulator in Python, and I'm currently diving deep into open-source solvers like OpenFOAM on my custom Linux machine. I'm actively looking for an internship where I can tackle complex, real-world aerospace problems.
