Project Timeline

Jan 2025 - Dec-2025

OVERVIEW

- Needed an immersive way to teach Oscilloscope fundamentals without requiring physical lab access for students. - Build a VR oscilloscope learning module to teach instrument workflow that supports guided instructions. - Developed VR environment using the Unity engine to create instrument UI flow, integrate full hand tracking, and real time waveform measurement displays of a simple circuit. - Delivered functioning training module deployed to Meta Quest headsets that enable students to practice Oscilloscope operation in a low risk environment. Led development of project using Unity (C#) with the Meta Interaction SDK to design a learning module for the ET101 Introduction to Engineering Technology course at CSULB. Simulated realistic behavior of an oscilloscope, power supply, signal generator, multimeter, and breadboard with waveform visualization and measurement tools.

HighlightS

  • Implemented VR oscilloscope interface with waveform visualization and measurements to support hands on learning.
  • Built a learning module and assessment flow to walk users through measurement and analysis of a simple circuit.
  • Integrated natural hand interaction using Meta SDK tools to improve usability and immersion.
  • Deployed application to Meta Quest for classroom use in an introductory engineering technology course at CSULB.
