ABOUT ME
My name is Anthony Pedigo, and I am a civil engineering graduate from California State University, Chico. I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, California, where I developed a strong appreciation for the natural environment and the communities that depend on well-designed infrastructure. Growing up surrounded by Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains inspired my interest in engineering and environmental stewardship.
After completing my general education coursework at Lake Tahoe Community College, I transferred to CSU Chico to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. During my time at Chico, I gained hands-on experience through laboratory courses and design projects involving surveying, fluid mechanics, wastewater treatment, concrete materials, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and structural design. I also served as Treasurer of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter, where I helped support student engagement and professional development activities.
In the summer of 2023, I worked as an Engineering Intern with the South Tahoe Public Utility District (STPUD). There, I assisted engineers with GIS management, field surveys, AutoCAD drafting, infrastructure projects, and utility operations. This experience provided valuable insight into the practical side of civil engineering and strengthened my interest in serving local communities through infrastructure development.
Outside of engineering, I have spent many years working in Tahoe's recreation and tourism industries, including positions as a dockhand on Lake Tahoe and a ski rental technician at Heavenly Ski Resort. These experiences helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills while sharing the place I call home with visitors from around the world.
Recently, I relocated to San Diego to pursue professional opportunities in a growing region with a strong engineering market. I am excited to begin my career with an organization where I can continue developing my technical skills while contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.
