Participated as both an aeroshell team member and a senior design team member. Assisted with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, using Star CCM+, to optimize the outer shell of the vehicle and reduce drag. Additionally, networked and secured a $100,000 sponsorship for software for the team to improve simulation and design efforts. Participated in the manufacturing of carbon fiber car fairings, including optimizing the cut pattern and installation of the carbon fiber over a mold, preparing for vacuum sealing. Also designed a removable fairing with military and aerospace standard fasteners that will aid in the rigidity of the car and improve assembly and modification time during competition.
As a part of the senior design capstone team, I developed the leading concept for the design of a modular quarter-scale car suspension test system.
