In the Adesida Laboratory, I contributed to cartilage tissue engineering research by developing automated imaging pipelines, performing histological and biochemical assays, and optimizing 3D bioprinting workflows. I created a Python-based image quantification script that reduced analysis time by 50%, accelerating data processing for brightfield and immunofluorescent microscopy. I conducted tissue culture, embedding, slicing, staining, and imaging to support morphological and biochemical characterization of cartilage constructs. Additionally, I performed RNA/cDNA extraction for RT-qPCR studies and calibrated the Lumen X Gen 3 bioprinter using custom Fusion 360 components to enable reliable PEGDA scaffold fabrication.
