ANSYS was used to analyze and compare three distinct materials: aluminum alloy, structural steel, and copper alloy. The most ideal material for a motor housing based on the results of the simulations is structural steel. Based on the simulation, this material can withstand the chosen load, as it displays the least amount of deformation when compared with other materials. The findings also indicated that while structural steel was the best material in terms of structural integrity, copper has the highest temperature threshold. Structural Steel, however, is the least conductive, which lessens the chance of injury when handling the part.
