OVERVIEW

This project involved preparing a set of detailed drawings for a residential hydronic (hot water) heating system. The primary goal was to create clear, accurate, and standardized details for all key components to ensure a seamless installation and efficient system operation. The system included both traditional radiators and an underfloor heating circuit.

Additional Details

This technical sheet showcases four key construction details related to hydronic heating systems. The underfloor heating manifold (Detail A) serves as the central control point for multiple heating circuits, incorporating essential components such as a motorized 3 way valve, pressure gauges, and individual shutoff valves, each clearly identified for ease of installation and maintenance. The radiator connection schematic (Detail B) outlines a standard layout featuring a thermostatic valve for temperature regulation, a balancing tee, and provisions for air venting and drainage. To ensure both durability and thermal efficiency, the pipe support detail (Detail C) specifies how insulated supply and return lines should be securely mounted to prevent heat loss and insulation damage. Lastly, the radiator mounting specification (Detail D) provides precise installation dimensions, such as a minimum 120mm clearance from the floor, to guarantee optimal airflow and performance of wall-mounted radiators.
