Project Timeline

Oct 2023 - Mar-2025

OVERVIEW

Industrial moving head light that utilizes pan & tilt motors, an LED source, and optical zoom/edge equipment. A highly technical mechatronic system that requires thermal cooling systems, power management, optical alignment, and robotic control (DMX) all within an IP65 rated enclosure. Used primarily in theaters, broadcast production, and entertainment venues.

HighlightS

Deeply involved in the mechanical development, manufacturing planning, and approbations of this next-generation luminaire. Working quickly in a cross-functional team to release the a working production prototype within a one year project timeline. Named inventor on a patent-pending technology from this project.

  • Created drawing specifications to ASME Y14.1000 and utilized GD&T ASME Y14.5 as well as DIN ISO 286.
  • Routed cables and made cable / wire harness drawings.
  • Responsible for designing and testing engineering prototypes.
  • Connecting with vendors to ensure all part specifications are met.
  • Maintaining ECNs and running retrofit operations for future product lines.
  • Conducted mechanical tests for safety, efficiency, and durability for finished product.
  • Created photorealistic renderings for marketing.
